In the year 1977, a few colleagues came together and began a small group to sing bhajans on every Saturday, on Lord Ayyappan Sri Dharma Sastha. This thought, came up at AV Patro Salai, Ashok Nagar, under an electrical transformer. The initial rounds of bhajans took shape, credit goes to Ravivilangan, Mrs. AVR Menon, Mrs. Kuttiamma, Mrs. Bhaskaran Nair, Mrs. Subramanian, daughters of VG Nair, Dileep, Sreedharan who all took active part under the  initiative of our founder Mr. J. Gopindran, and C. Govindan Nair.
